Hari is Data Scientist for The Demographics Group. She is responsible for the sourcing and packaging of data used by the group in presentations, columns and on Advisory projects. In 2024 Hari’s role will expand to include corporate speaking and media commentary.
Meet Hari Hara Priya Kannan, chief data scientist for The Demographics Group and the data talent behind the data-rich columns written by Bernard Salt and occasionally Simon Kuestenmacher.
Hari has a masters degree in data science from RMIT University. She writes a monthly column for The Australian “Real Commercial” property supplement.
Hari has participated in conferences as an expert panellist.
During 2023 Hari delivered her first conference keynote presentation to a Sydney-based financial services group.
The Demographics Group is supporting Hari’s career development as a data scientist and as a corporate speaker.
Hari has also been a guest on various property-based podcasts.
Hari speaks on topics that flow from her columns including immigration, the skills shortage, overseas students, population projections and changes in the Australian ethnicity mix.
Hari also writes data journalism thought pieces on commission.
